Matcha tea is a highly concentrated form of green tea that has many powerful heath benefits. It is high in antioxidants, protects the liver, boosts brain function, helps your metabolism, and protects the heart. Here is one of our favorite recipes that features both matcha tea and espresso!
- 2 tbsp hot water (175F / 80C)
- 1 tsp matcha green tea powder
- 1/4 cup coconut milk or condensed milk
- 1 cup ice
- 1/4 cup espresso
- Honey optional to taste
- In a small bowl measure 1 teaspoon green tea matcha and add hot water, and honey (optional), stir briskly until smooth. Add the matcha into a glass. Add ice. Slowly pour 1/4 cup coconut milk (or condensed milk) onto the ice. Pull a shot using the Nanopresso and the Double Espresso Filter Basket (included with the Barista Kit) on top and enjoy!
