Warranty Policy

At Wacaco Company Limited (“Wacaco”), we are dedicated to engineering high-quality, portable espresso equipment. We stand firmly behind our craftsmanship and offer this Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty to ensure a reliable experience with our products.

1. Warranty Coverage & Eligibility

Wacaco warrants all authentic products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal, residential use in accordance with official product instructions.

  • Original Purchaser: This warranty is a Limited Warranty provided exclusively to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable to subsequent owners.
  • Authorized Channels Only: This warranty applies strictly to products purchased directly from www.wacaco.com or an authorized Wacaco dealer or distributor.

⚠️ Important Notice on Second-Hand Sales: Products purchased from unauthorized third-party resellers, liquidators, or peer-to-peer marketplaces (such as unauthorized sellers on eBay, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, or similar platforms) are not covered by this manufacturer's warranty. Products where the original factory serial number has been removed, defaced, or altered are completely void of warranty coverage.

2. Warranty Period

The limited warranty period for Wacaco products is determined by the region of purchase and the product category:

  • United States & Rest of the World (Standard): The warranty period is one (1) year from the original date of purchase.
  • European Union & United Kingdom: In compliance with local statutory laws, the warranty period is two (2) years from the original date of purchase.

Free 6-Month Warranty Extension

For some of the products, Wacaco provides a serial number registration card inside the box. By registering your machine's unique serial number online at our official website within thirty (30) days of purchase, you will receive an additional six (6) months of warranty coverage free of charge (applicable worldwide, adding onto your regional base period).

3. Warranty Services & Remedies

If a valid, verified defect in materials or workmanship arises within the applicable warranty period, Wacaco will provide a solution to restore your product to full working order.

  • Remedies: Wacaco will either (1) repair the product using new or refurbished replacement parts, or (2) replace the product with a brand-new or functionally equivalent identical model.
  • Jurisdictional Compliance: For customers residing within the European Union (EU) and United Kingdom (UK), remedies will be executed in full compliance with statutory local consumer rights (including the EU Sale of Goods Directive), which respect the consumer's right to choose between repair or replacement unless the chosen remedy is objectively impossible or disproportionately costly compared to the alternative.

4. Return Shipping Logistics

If a product must be sent to a designated Wacaco service center for inspection and warranty evaluation:

  • Initial Costs: The customer is responsible for safely packaging and shipping the product to our designated service center. We highly recommend using a trackable shipping service.
  • Defect Confirmation & Reimbursement: If Wacaco’s technical team evaluates the product and confirms a manufacturing defect covered under this warranty, Wacaco will fully cover the cost of shipping the repaired/replaced product back to the customer. Furthermore, upon presentation of a valid shipping receipt, Wacaco will reimburse the customer for reasonable, standard ground shipping costs incurred to send the defective unit to our center.
  • Non-Defects: If the issue is determined not to be a manufacturing defect, the customer will be responsible for return shipping costs to reclaim their item.

5. Exclusions & Limitations

This limited warranty does not cover any damage, malfunction, or operational failure resulting from:

  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, or commercial institutional use.
  • Accidents, drops, improper storage, or exposure to extreme environmental conditions.
  • Unauthorized modifications, self-repairs, tampering, or opening of sealed internal mechanisms by non-authorized personnel.
  • Normal wear and tear expected over time (including scratches, cosmetic blemishes, fading of logos, or natural degradation of silicone seals and O-rings).
  • Failure to clean, descale, or maintain the device in strict accordance with the product instructions.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable local laws, Wacaco disclaims any incidental, consequential, special, or indirect damages arising out of the use or inability to use the product.

6. How to File a Warranty Claim

To initiate a evaluation under this warranty, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact our customer support team directly via email at support@wacaco.com or through our official website contact form.
  2. Provide your Proof of Purchase (a copy of your original sales receipt, invoice, or online order confirmation clearly showing the purchase date, vendor name, and item description).
  3. Provide a clear description of the issue along with photographs or a brief smartphone video demonstrating the malfunction.

Our team will review your submission and provide step-by-step instructions or issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) if a physical inspection is required.

7. Out-of-Warranty Repairs

If your product is outside its warranty period or has suffered damage excluded from coverage, Wacaco may offer factory repair services or replacement parts at the customer's expense. We will provide a transparent estimate of parts, labor, and return shipping costs for your written approval before any repair work is performed.
